Chicken Broth vs Chicken bouillion with water?????

So, I'm looking around for a yummy chicken noodle soup recipe and I found one that got great reviews. It calls for 4 cans of chicken broth...my question, can I just use my chicken boullion with water? I've never used chicken broth so I'm just wondering what the difference is.

I'm not sure if anyone reads this, but it you know the difference please share your knowledge since I'm NOT experienced in this area.

Melissa, I use chicken bouillon with water, and it seems to work great. I just hate to spend so much money buying the cans, when I feel I can make it myself with not much difference. Just my opinion. Good luck!

I like to use both. There are pros to both.
I like the cans or boxes of broth to keep in storage because it is a great way of having water with flavor to cook with. Water is always a difficult thing to have on hand for food storage. So I like to rotate through my stock.
Bouillon cubes are more friendly to the environment, however they tend to be very salty. Recently, I made a chicken asparagus soup and used half bouillon and broth.
The best is to make your own broth if you have the time. There are a couple of ways of doing this. Basically you boil chicken pieces or an entire chicken with veggies etc. There are a couple of ways of doing this.
